Saturday 23rd July: Kingston and Hampton Court Palace

On Saturday we caught the train to Kingston for some shopping and lunch. Later in the afternoon we went to Hampton Court Palace, where King Henry VIII lived in the 16th century. We had a tour of the palace with an audio guide and went into the famous maze.

Monday 18th July 2011: the British Museum

Yesterday we left school after lunch and caught the train into London. We went to the British Museum, a collection of paintings and artefacts. There was so much to see! Here is a group photograph of everyone who went on the trip.

Saturday 16th July 2011: Madame Tussaud’s and The National Gallery

On Saturday we caught the train from Wimbledon to Trafalgar Square. It was pouring with rain so we quickly went inside the National Gallery. Here we saw some famous paintings such as the sunflowers by Vincent van Gogh.

Afterwards, we went on the tube to Baker Street, and joined the queue for Madame Tussaud’s. After a short wait we entered the museum and took lots of photos with our favourite celebrities, like Johnny Depp and Shrek! Have a look at some of our photos...

Friday 15th July 2011: School Party!

This Friday we had a party to say goodbye to some of our students. We ate crisps, pizza and ice cream. We danced in the garden (with the teachers too!) and finished the night with some football. What a fun night!
